You might not want to share your entire minecraft folder. Distributing the .jar file isn't allowed because of piracy, and there's this cute little saved password file in there just waiting to have a look at.

As I recall, a batbox is a line of 3 batteries down the middle, three lumber bottom, two more lumber in the top corners, and something else (cable?) top middle. No idea on the meter.

If you're using technic you can craft a recipe book with either book+crafting table or book+squid ink.

Nope, but that would include any craftable item even with mods?

So when I try to change a folders name to ".minecraft" it seems to think that is not a valid name for a folder.

Thats cause it is not ironically enough. The "." is supposed to hide folders* and not be something you can just use willy nilly. I always zip my minecraft folder when I save them so later I can just unzip it right there and be done with it.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Personally I just keep separate folders with MCPortable in them. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/37311-minecraft-portable-26-java-portable-b18-compat/

Is there a way I can validly imput it?

I don't see a way to do it. What you could do is let Minecraft create a new .minecraft folder and then just clear it out and put what you want in there.

Windows is trying to be 'helpful'.

You have to do it with the rename command via the command line.

Edit: Also... Neyvn you MAY want to take that file down. It does have your password saved in it and it is easily recovered. In fact I know what it is, but I'm not evil so I won't use it for nefarious purposes.

Edit2: Oh god... Neyvn what texture pack is this? The man's face is just a big mouth, and the animals look ridiculous. I cannot stop laughing.

Oh???
Yes, Notch explicitly forbid people distributing the .jar file with mods, and/or changes.  That's why you can't get mods pre-installed in the minecraft.jar.
