Note: I'm using the mod that makes villages bigger. I hope that's what is causing the bugs.

I'm certain that it is.  It's basically making multiple village maps on top of each other, and they're getting confused in the collisions.

Where I placed my house (close to center of starter island) is the point of origin. I found a pine forest large island (not hard to find on map), a grassy island, and North from home (I made a bridge to it and heading to the next small isles to the East) is a small island with apparently a spider dungeon just beneath it (follow the hissing).

This is all still a legit save without any cheating. I'm really proud of myself. I've never legitimately made this much progress in Minecraft before giving up. Next step, Nether Gate. Already found a couple magma pits in my mines.

EDIT:
One good shortcut trick I'd like to apply (if possible) would be a nether gate on the mainland, and making another one on a target island, and seeing if I can secure a path between them. Sure, it's more work, but it's more precise.

My god, red clay soldiers are brutal. I made a blue vs red vs yellow arena up in the sky, and red just massacred everything after blue and yellow weakened each other.

All the colors but white and black are the same, it was luck that saved them.

I have just FINALLY figured out how to use texture packs.  I got a star wars themed one. 



It fits well with my Darth Vader skin.

I'm having too much fun with clay soldiers.
In the last fight, a bunch of soldiers parachuted down the arena. Red won while outside the arena.
Back on the arena, yellow appeared to win.
