When I saw potion effects in 1.8 code-digging on the wiki, I did not figure Notch/jeb/whoever would have potions almost ready for release!

I feel like running a Livestream of a Hardcore Game. One Life then have to restart.
Mods are; Level Up!, Millenaire, Rei Minimap, Nature Overhaul, Shelves, Armour Stands, Whats my Light Level?, Sominia, Multi-use Door.

Would anyone be interested in seeing that???

Also interested in any Mods that make the Nether more interesting and not a place to go to once or twice, Seriously whats the point right now...

It is quite exciting since it will probably be in 1.9 release, all it really needs is a blockID and recipe for the cauldron assigned now.

There's probably a bit more to it than that; if it was basically ready to go, presumably it'd be in the prerelease already. Unless he was hoping for it to be a surprise, but given that he's spent time intentionally obfuscating his own code, you'd figure he'd realize that wouldn't work.

It's still likely to be in 1.9 proper, but there's probably still a few major kinks to work out.

I was sent to repair the Waterpumps that had clocked up with something, little did I know that would be the last time I spend with my family and clan. All I can remember is the rush of water pulling me along, throwing me against the stone and dragging me across the gravel. My fingers were becoming raw with my attempts to grab hold of something... Anything... My lungs reaching bursting point, burning through my chest like filled with Magma. I couldn't hold on, I was passing out from the pressure and lack of Oxygen, my mind going numb. Darkness all around me...

The great Burst of Water collided me with stone as I was propelled upwards, knocking what was left of the air from my lungs, I expected water to cascade down my throat, but it did not, not in the quantity of which I had expected anyway as I fell downwards into the pool of water. It was still dark, but my Dwarven eyes could make out the stone and soil.... Soil... I was near the surface, the pipe had collapsed under itself below me, I was amazed that it hadn't filled the small cave...

My cold, numb and rubbed raw fingers clawed at the loose soil above me, the little air left in the cave was already limited. My fingers broke through and I could feel the wind blowing against the fresh skin covered in dirt. I pull myself free out of the soil and the watery cave beneath me, already I feel like Vomiting at the Nausea from the sun, but I was alive... But where was I....

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

Its a Survival map??? My Maps have been all funky of late, SO MANY 'SEGMENTS' CUTTING INTO EACHOTHER...

The Map i saw was that of a normal area which then was cut by a Survival area..........
The water wasn't flowing into the holes...
It was creepy...

Not quite development hell, they just found the interface with the Cauldron too clunky so they switched it out for something else. It'll still make 1.9, as it's already been redone apperently. Cauldrons will remain as an aesthetic item, hopefully with some sort of use (perhaps storing liquids from buckets? that could be useful).

The Enchantment system is also being teased now, apperently it will take EXP to cast an enchant spell and the effects will be random.

I like the idea of Exp being used for things other than stats, although we would need sources of it other than slaying animals to avoid some design flaws. Perhaps crafting could do it as well? Mundane recipes wouldn't generate it like sticks from wood and construction materials, but tools and advanced aesthetic objects could be good sources.

 Glowstone and Ghast Tears.

(I think I would prefer mushrooms providing heal effects instead of Ghasts)
