I have been looking for one to build a Wall of ice in it but my search has been fruitless so far, i did build a mushroom tower that reached for the sky tho :>

In 1.8.1, Notch disabled snow biomes, and in turn, they can't be genned in any other way except genning a world from 1.7.3.

Don't really know why Notch removed it, besides the whole biome rewrite thing. Either he disabled it, or Notch didn't write the code yet.

I found a seed that gives a nice big snow biome near spawn, but no shroom that I can find.

They should be back in 1.9 i think, there was something about bringing snow and red flowers back into the game, and it makes sense i guess since you need snow to make snow golems X)

Mind sharing the seed Japa, shrooms are only a secondary concern, what i really want is snow and ice

I can confirm they have been re-added in 1.9 or at least in the pre release.

Apparently if you're looking for shroomage, the seed '4' will spawn you near one.

Question for someone who's found a village in 1.9...
If you kill the villagers, do they respawn? If so, do they still if you dismantle their house?
