For those of you desperate for "Survival Island" seeds, Urist produces another one of those. I traveled west for two in-game days and only found a couple of sandbars.

If that map is the one of my seed. Then the Largish Isle to the south west (considering that the map is pointed north as Up) is the one I settled...

Wait, don't maps orient up as east?  I know mine sure does, Up is Sunrise direction, and I was facing west when I crafted it.

That explains why the maps are always pointed that way...

Anyway just facepalmed in realising what the other two were talking bout, Creative Moded my Seed to see a map of it...

Because those tend to be hidden, and all the good ones weren't made by us.

I know of a great underground structure, but I am not sure if it is public, so I won't post any picture.

If you think we need more underground things... join us and dig!

The map is great, you can see both the wiki and the youtube trailer to have some examples of it. It is also quite big, it takes several minecraft days to go from one end to the other. There are also some ruins, orc camps ( reskinned pigmen) and probably many other hidden features not discovered yet.

Unluckily, server population is not quite high as the server deserves now, but that is something that will be fixed after we get updated to 1.8, when public applications reopen. Meanwhile, you can still get referred if you want.

Hey guys, perhaps someone could help me...
I have been trying to do it myself and failing badly...

Just recently I got the Zanminimap Mod which throws a minimap in the top left corner of the screen, handy little thing. BUT the problem is that they have set the compass directions to that of Earth's directions. Not Minecraft directions, as in The Sun rising from the North...

Anyone else know how to change this because I am also using another Mod which uses Minecraft directions for the info it shows on the screen and I am getting tired of turning around every few seconds because I went the wrong way due to the Minimap.

Well, it's generally considered the the sun rises and sets in the right places (east and west) and the clouds travel north. But I think if you think of minecraft like the standard compass directions, the top of maps still face east...[Citation Needed]
