Reportedly an error comes up if you load in the items before the fuel or the other way around. Would explain why some people crash all the time and others don't, different smelting habits.
Thanks, I will see if I can work around it.
Also who else is underwhelmed by endermen?

They are exactly what they were reported as.

Any delusions about something more is entirely up to the fans and all fault goes to them for such a course of though.

Using the seed "Dice" (Yeah, I know, right?  :P) gave me a spawn on a tiny island just off the shore of a much larger one, with a few other small islands around it. The main island is hilly, fairly long and narrow, and has some nice bays. No sign of other land. A few trees, at least one spot with bamboo, and I think I might have seen an abandoned mine through the ocean because this build is being wonky about loading the surface and tends to show underground features on unloaded areas.

So can everyone that doesn't have problems with furnaces record how they use them? I really wanna play but the furnace crash bug is keeping me from it so I'm interested in a workaround.

I just uh... I put the thing to smelt in before the fuel. I haven't had any crashes that way so far.

Hm. Anyone have a seed that'll gen a map with a crescent bay on a fairly flat coastal region?

To those having furnace problems I can't post a link now because of circumstances but someone posted a fix on the released mods subforum of the official forums.

Do axes and pickaxes still do the same amount of damage your fists do? I thought I'd ask since the combat system has been overhauled.

No furnace problems here.

I tried the "Urist" island map, and I gotta admit, I love this natural formation survival island. The island with the tree on it, or the sand pit nearby, It actually has a hidden pit with charcoal and a pretty decent starter quarry zone. Might lead into a cave.

I'll keep the mainland as tidy and homely as I can get it, and go spelunking down this hole I made/discovered/continue making.

I love this map so far.

All stone tools and up deal extra damage over fists, which do one heart of damage base. Except the hoe.

Thanks a lot. I installed it right away. Is there a fix for the crafting table out there yet?

Is there a way to craft the panes of glass you find in villages?

I just crashed trying to shift pieces of glass on a crafting table with the 1.8 leak.

yeah. If you leave any items in the crafting table and then exit the window, they become infinite ( you can't even delete them with the TooManyItems interface )

Also, in creative mode, whenever I select a new type of block from my library of placable things, minecraft says "saving chunks" and then promptly crashes. Anybody know what this could be from? It might be a toomanyitems related crash, but I'm not sure.

And yes, you can craft windows. It goes

blank blank blank
glass glass glass
glass glass glass
