Agree with mountain range, we should build the bulk of the stuff on a mountain, along with a few shafts going downdowndown. Also, if folks have Zan's minimap, they can mark the locations of the tunnels even if we make them veeeeery secret

Through the powers of CHARISMA (possibly?) I have stolen my way into the R@W closed Beta! Muahaha!

Going to check things out tonight, and I shall try to get my bearings in game. I shall return with reports!

P.S. Sonerohi, that is a simple and elegant tunnel defense. I like it! Perhaps we can adapt this to power a feeding mechanism?, or situate the boom-tunnel over a deadly pitfall? Maybe stagger Tnt, with an initial charge, followed by 3 charges armed half a second later and dropped down the same shaft from above, to create a scatter-bomb?

Also, I am in favor of the TNT plan. We just have to make the tunnel TNT resistant, obviously. Unless for some reason they disable TNT blasts and only keep the damage.

Dude: Obsidian chamber, with a Magma Curtain set up at the far end. People cluster and stop in the area while they attempt plug the curtain, and then defenders drop scattershot TNT clusters on them from above. Very Dwarf.

Also, you CAN move pistons with pistons. It's how Jeb's demo worked.

but that setup is impossible (or almost impossible) due to requiring parallel redstone currents (although there might be a workaround, i doubt it).

Or, if you're feeling less inclined to use TNT, drop sand or gravel. It's easier to get rid of for them, but it's also easier to get a hold in mass quantities for us.
