Probably not.
Definitely not.
It was a DDoS attack.
Distributed Denial of Service.

Does not compromise data.

I know what DDoSing is, someone mentioned what I posted before so I figured I'd ask.

Yep, to be clear this isn't like the SQL injection attack someone used against Sony, it's just a method by which a metric shit-ton of traffic is directed towards one server until it cannot cope and goes offline. All it does is take down the login server, or whatever server is targeted. (Apparently taking down the login server also removed the website at the time.)

If I remember Mojang, their login and site are on the same server.
I wouldn't be too surprised if this was the case elsewhere too.

So they released a video showing piston usage.

You can use them to control water flow.

With all the features from the mod that he's already removed, killing that too would make them absolutely useless.

You forget, you're talking to a person who has seen pistons for the first time in jeb's video.

Which exactly, besides launching sand and gravel and moving certain entities (chests and etc) have actually been changed from the original mod?

But that's on the original too.

I'm fine with it not launching things, it was kinda silly to see them do that. Same with entity blocks, I'm fine with the challenges this creates in the game. It does feel a lot less like a mod and more like a feature of the game.

Also one of the devs slightly changed the look of the cobblestone texture. It's basically just lighter now and edited to help tiling a bit, but hopefully it'll make cobblestone monsters look better now. Apparently there is also going to be cobblestone brick, but I can't confirm that.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Kinda worried about the cobblestone texture, I'll admit. A lot of my construction on Planehacked makes use of the contrast between smooth and cobblestone. That's now going to be different :/
