Open JAR
Delete META-INF
Put the contents of Risugami's ModLoader in the JAR
Put the contents of SDK's ModloaderMP in JAR (not the same thing as ModLoader, you need both. latest version is in the FLAN thread)
Put contents of IndustrialCraft zipfile (what's in the folder "minecraft", as well as "industrial tools" and "nanosuit", optionally. don't put the folders themselves, only the files in them - however the sprites do go in their folder).
If you added the tools and nanosuit, extract the IndustrialCraft config to the ".minecraft" root folder in %appdata%.

EDIT: assuming you're installing IC, otherwise, well, yeah basically put whatever's in the mod in the "minecraft.jar" root.

OK. I really want to see someone use IC's miners (You could use buildcraft's, but they don't get liquids) , Buildcraft's pipes and autocrafters, Feanor's Redstone Advanced for the insane redstone work that will be needed, Feanor's Minefactory for the wood factory and conveyor belts, Pfaeff's Mod for the allocator and item movement shit to make an auto minefactory/mobfarm which would make everything you could ever need except wool automatically, and all you need to do is keep expanding the miners out, and pick the stuff up at the end.

I realize it would take ages to actually get compatible, get started, and I suspect it would need a good comp to not lag horribly, but it would be amazing to see work.

This cave system is just massive. After a sudden pushback by the monsters to retake their territory, I finally give in and invest in some iron armor to sate my need for adventuring.

I mean, seriously, every cave splits off into 2 or 3 more caves, in every direction, and monsters pour out of each one with more vigor than the last. I have been fortunate, in that the monster hordes have been mostly zombies, easily dealt with if they don't get the jump on you. I worry though, for one creeper can spell my doom.

I have a friend watching me play, and we're just both astonished by the amazing stuff we're finding at every turn. Like sheer drops down large circular shafts. Huge natural tunnels, extending so far they hit fog distance, whole systems of lava lakes... I'm not sure if I'll ever map this entire thing out, but I'm sure as hell going to try.

Finding the map seed is a bit complicated. Finding the entrance to the cave system is easier - go to it and press F3. Note down the numbers for X, Y, and Z.

Well, you could easily rig something up in some sort of free 3D software. The XYZ coordinates are easily accessible, but I imagine such a thing would become a a tangled mess fairly quickly, and would take a long time.

I'd imagine that using it would be nearly as difficult as just hopping around in the cave for a while.
