So my friends have recently become fans of Minecraft. They seem to enjoy it very much and are trying to engineer a private connection between them so they can play together.

It was funny watching, because my roommate would make this tiny wooden boat, and then coast around the ocean for a bit, and then get swamped by the monster filled islands he'd pass by. One landmass I've affectionately named "Skull Rape Island" for possessing two large side-by-side caves that had a horde of skeletons come out and kill my poor roommate. He didn't stand a chance.

My other friend built a tower that went above the cloudline. It was cool.

Dayum, Tradan. That is seriously badass. My friend and I are recreating an old base we made and then lost on an online server. It was a massive creeper head, and you descended into the mouth to find a massive academy showcasing all the mods on that server; its basic purpose was to instruct on the finer points of these mods, because they were shrouded in mystery. However, it was never finished, and so the public never saw it, and we lost it.

Also, I finally got around to the M404 challenge. Progress:

Well, I fucked around on the surface a bit before descending into the darkness. I don't really know what I'm doing, but upon reaching the bottom, I was assaulted by 2 skeletons, a zombie, and a creeper. Luckily, after taking an arrow and a bite, the zombie killed a skeleton and then was shot to death, and the creeper blew the other skeleton to kingdom come. Mobs 0, Vert 1!

Shortly afterwards, I retreated into a dirt patch of my own making, to lick my wounds and think over my next actions.

I hope my little fail-narrative is at least mildly amusing to someone. More to come as it happens!

I'm building my 'tombs' area next. That means long, wide and tall hallways with pillars and golden block sarcophagi.

And lit purely with redstone torches.

Hehe, I remember one particularly entertaining moment. In my texture pack, green wool looks striking and very pretty. So I used it as carpeting for some areas. Imagine my surprise when my friend walks in, goes "What the fuck?! This is ugly." and starts tearing my carpet out. I switched to default, and damn, it was ugly.

EDIT: Well, fuck. My computer shut down and corrupted my save, and I don't feel like trying to recreate the exact scenario. Effectively, I got 404'd. :I
