Biome.
texture pack?
Both.
That is anything but the default colorization.
(Seriously, who makes it that abrupt?  That's not how biomes work!)

I made everything red, but it doesn't work right.
Too lazy to fix it. :b

How exactly do you screw up bucketing in red on the biome chart?
Course, pines and birch need special attention, being non-colorized, but...

That's the issue, as is the side grass.
Anyway, it's fixed now because I grabbed a fresh jar to put in some mods for someone.

The side grass thing should be fixed in the next release, so no side grass mods will be needed then.

Edit: Gah, damn this Industrial Craft!

So say I make a vertical pillar of water generators and surround the shaft in Water, would all the power be concentrated at the ends for harvest or does power not travel through generators? Can water generators share water blocks adjacent to them? Would wire energy loss factor in on stacks higher than 5? As much as solar generators could potentially be more space efficient, I don't really want to sink all those resources into this. I already have all my iron marked for miners and pipes, and water generators seem like the easiest thing to make for the most output.

Nope, power only goes through cables (including switch cables), "luminators", and MFEs. (might've missed something...)

Haven't tried them myself; supposedly they can, but with a reduced efficiency.

I think water generators only output 3-4, so yes, probably.

keep an ODE to help choose sites for your miners; unless you're really desperate for material (in which case I'd say "get drill, do it by hand"), find an area that returns at least 50 on the ODE.

MFEs can be used for the core of generator stacks going up to eliminate current loss. HV transmitters can be used for the core of stacks going up too but there's still some loss and they require an MFE to craft. I think HV transmitters can be used on stacks that produce more than 50 EU/s though.

EDIT: Yes they can, it just requires a rather complex system of transformers to charge an MFS without wasting much current

Note that this setup still wastes half of the evergy it produces. The waste would be nearly eliminated if it produced 200 or less EU/s. I figure outside testing theories no one is going to have 20 nuclear generators operating at the same time so I declare it "good 'nuf".

EDIT 2: OK, I lied about it being "good 'nuf". I changed it to be smaller, simpler, and more efficient for moving current long distances. The splits being hooked straight to the generator stack made each split lose current per wire so I put another HV transmitter right before them to make the transformer system itself lossless even if the wires leading to it aren't. It still maxes out at 200 current though.

I think you need water running around it as coolant.

I'm actually inclined to agree with that guy, the minecraft forums are pretty much 4chan and youtube combined.

Creepers are basically mob griefers anyway.

Creeper mafia, huh?

Don Creeponi: Listen up, knuckleheads. We've got a problem. Some Player thinks he can muscle in on our turf. Can't allow that, now can we?

Creepers: No, sir!

Don Creeponi: So. Tony, I want you to go bang around his house. If he shows his face, blast him. And see if you can get somme that Spider gang to help you out. Get the jump on him.

Creeper Tony: I'm on it!

Don Creeponi: Guido, go hide out in the forest. If he tries to go through there, well, you make him pay the toll.

Creeper Guido: Hehe. Pay the toll. Got it, boss.

Don Creeponi: And Mario, I want you up on the cliff face. Let him see you. Put some fear in his heart, yeah? And if he comes after you, you drop right down on that bastard and give him what for! Now, hop to it!

Creeper Mario: Hopping away, sir!

Don Creeponi: Excellent. No damn Player is gonna build on my turf if I have anything to say about it!

This reminds me of the picture my friend drew nearly a year back  of a creeper in a business suit and bowler hat smoking a cigar. He also reskinned creepers to wear suits. Im sad that i seem to have lost the skins and the picture.

Someone was making a clone a while back and the Minecraft folks were absolutely terrible to the person.  There's a certain ignorance to the group as well since Notch basically cloned Infiniminer but nobody was going to hear about it.  In their mind any game that had blocks and mining was a clone of Minecraft and should therefore be spammed, trolled, and lambasted. (There was also a similar situation here with DwarvesH.)

You'll be hard pressed to find such a situation here where it isn't done in the name of the "DWARF FORTRESS CLONE OH NO" meme.
