Odd... using industrialcraft, my game crashes every time I equip any sort of armor.

If you've added the Superwossname Armor files to the .jar, you have to copy the wossnameindustrialconfig.txt to the .minecraft folder and edit it to remove a certain # symbol right before some armor setting. Same for Industrial Tools thingy. Not to the bin folder tho, I did that and could never figure out why it didn't work :P
I did that, still crashed. I just removed the super armor thing and everything is fine now.

Glow dust tends to help more. Glowering at the other pieces just makes them feel inadequate.

Suhweet.

It won't work.

Wait, I've been using gold ingots <_<

Still won't work.

I have obsidian in my backyard :D

I am such a fucking idiot. There's magma in my back yard and I have nothing better to do that dig myself into a hole right beside it.

So, the water generators can now be powered with a block of water on top of them.

Does that mean the magma ones can do the same, but with magma?

Actually, all 4 look like they are twisting if they have a perspective from just about anywhere else. It's my outside staircase design; a pillar of rock in the center with stairs carved around the outside. It gives the towers the appearance of twisting around like a ram's horn or some sort of eldrich abomination's tentacles.
That's not what I meant.
Look at this portion of it that I cropped out.
All three of those lines appear to be part of the same tower due to this perspective, even though that's impossible.

watermills can be powered by water close to the generator. could be below, or on the sides. I am not sure, but it might be possible that it can be powered by water tiles beyond the 26 directly around it. haven't tested it yet.

geothermal generators were confirmed to not have this ability, making them quite useless.
a bucket of magma has very little energy, and unlike water magma sources don't regenerate.

Bah I have a geothermal generator down in my workshops when I need a little extra output.  And it does a fine job, able to power my macerators and furnaces by itself.  Grab a couple buckets while your main power grid is draining on everything running, fill 2 buckets place one in the generator to start it and place the other in so it runs two cycles and you get a nice power output boost without having to use up uranium which is far more fun to use blowing up chickens.  Or showing those trapped creepers what a REAL explosion looks like.  Besides.  It's frikkin MAGMA!  What's not to like?

Especially if you have nether access and built a reasonably defensible position there.  Running out of magma in the nether is like running out of layer stone in Dwarf Fortress.  Sure it's technically possible to run out in a particular area....but it's not likely to happen.

EDIT: Hmmm....I wonder if anyone made a livestock-to-low-orbit cannon out of nukes yet...  Just think!  Sheep bouncing on the moon!

Also if you're worried about magma not regenerating doesn't the autominer suck up 5 buckets worth per tile of magma? That's what it says anyway, and that seems like it would let you make more magma.

*blinks*
I think you're right... you might be able to set up a magma factory with a few extractor pipes and a small pool of magma.

I've not tried but couldn't you set up an automated miner in the nether for the sole purpose of collecting magma?
