Build a house that is 3 blocks tall, light up the roof, take stairs to roof, destroy surrounding trees, you are now creeper proof. Just move tot he edge and hit them when they jump at you.

No, you can punch them without them exploding.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

But anyways, how long do creepers stay after sunrise? F*ckers keep killing me /:l
I've never seen them past noon.  I think the lifetime is one quarter of a full day/night cycle.  I don't have proof.

I really miss Indev, I pretty much stopped playing Minecraft after Notch got rid of it. An unending world isn't as appealing to me.

Even though I still play on occasion, I understand your sentiment. The infinite worlds make everything seem more like randomly generated static; anyway, they are an improvement in that you can have a player on a server building a 9-chunk-wide castle and not necessarily bother the others on the server because hey there's room for everybody.

Seed: SCIENCE!

Find a mostly flat desert and wall it in with a 2 high wall of glass. Build a glass observation room at the center and secret smoothstone underground minecart tunnel to take you there. Wait for sunrise to make your way to the observation room. Make sure you bring a bucket of lava with you so protocol 0x0A/0x0B is an option if something goes wrong or if you just get bored.

Make a note of how many zombies and skeletons burn up; this has nothing to do with the creeper despawn question but noting burning things is required for proper SCIENCE! You'll see loot outside. Don't be that dwarf that charges a goblin siege to collect a sock. Don't be that dwarf. If you go outside you're going to end up using protocol 0x0A/0x0B.

You went outside didn't you?  ::)

You're just going to have to read Man of SCIENCE! until sunrise then.

I'm so desensitized to TVTropes I can link to there without wasting more than half a minute there :P

If you stay near them they stick around longer.

The Bukkit team is reporting that a cache of minecraft usernames and passwords were recently hacked.

Note that the background could only be made with a custom texture pack that used up ALL of the wool colors. Big props to the dudes that did this.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
