Everyone who's tried that seed (myself included) has spawned in the cave... I thought the exact spawn point was random?

Play creative. It's a side effect of the biome colours from memory, ergo to avoid you need to go to a version without biome colours.

Inside a cave (with some water at the bottom), staring at a wall.

If you're not spawning in the cave, make sure you're using a lowercase G when you use the gargamel seed.

Anyway, at the exit of the spawn there ought be a huge crater full of sand at the bottom. Digging straight down from there, you can find all the Iron, Coal, Gold, Lapis Lazuli and Redstone you'll ever need. Plenty of Diamonds are down there, but more scarce, and after digging around for a considerable amount of time in a random direction, I found a magma spring and managed to cast a ton of obsidian from it. Also, the crater is a natural animal trap and there's always like ten cows, sheep and chickens running around unable to climb out.

there's two png files, one that sets the grass color, the other sets the tree leaves color. they look like triangles with a gradient. find them and make them white.
