So are you quitting this forum? Why would you say goodbye? Its not like Minecraft is a place, its a game. It like saying goodbye to to everyone that eats bananas because you will no longer eat bananas.

Goodbye everyone (who eats brussels sprouts) I will no longer be eating them with you all. Have fun with that.

EDIT: You may have all of my brussels sprouts, I will not be needing them ever again!

Whats the thing with all these servers?
I'm new to minecraft, are these "official" servers to play on with a bought copy or some mod to get elsewhere?


Also: is it worth it (herp derp ask players if they play something fun) paying for it when put in contrast to the awesome that is the incomplete and buggy DF2010?

Two different games...

DF has more of a "God Game" vibe to it where Minecraft you build and mine it all yourself (as if you were one dwarf... you can invite friends to help)

They are player servers. That is, you can join them with the bought game, you do not need any mods installed. Minecraft is definitely worth playing, and does sandbox a lot better the DF. However, DF is a completely different game and there is not much of a tie between DF and MC. It is like saying "I dont play Age of Empires because there is already tic-tac-toe.". Not only that, but Minecraft is cheap and worth it. Most people here have donated more money to Toady then it costs to play this game.
