You people and your "Good Graphics"
That looks like it's 16-bit colors... nothing but chroma, and some grayscale...

Right number, but it's 16 colors period, same as Dwarf Fortress (and all terminal systems I guess), and old versions of MSPaint.  I believe it's 4-bit color.

Making music, with VIOLENCE!

The best way to make music: punching tubular bells and drums.  I will make a sprite sheet with horns and guitars and stuff for tool-graphics, so it looks like I'm beating instruments with other instruments.  Combined with Java coding and server lag, any concerto of Minecrafters will be a goddamn cacophony.

And it will be glorious.

I dunno. Judging by the typical Minecrafter, it's obvious someone's going to make bumblebee with symphonyblocks.

One day you will have a horrible idea. Today is not that day. I, for one, welcome our cacophonous overlords.

Oh man, diggin around near my town, Lavasprinkled.
Found

So I'm walkin through, lookin for ore, and I see THIS:

Then they just watch me as I move around, heads bobbing occasionally.

Turns out, they can't get up at me.

Instead, they just sort of stand there and stare at me like a retarded puppy.

So I oblige them.

Turns out, it was a really small dead end. that somehow managed to spawn three creepers.

hey0's mod with the vMinecraft plugin
...
While I'm at it, any other [simple] additions I could install to my server? I know Llamacraft has coloured text. I like that. :3
hMod itself provides the first four.
Llamacraft is useless.  hMod + WorldGuard + vMinecraft provides all that and more.
vMinecraft has the colored text (in fact, Llamacraft just colorizes names.  hMod itself does that too, but vMinecraft allows full color support in all text.)
WorldGuard provides a superior nerf to fire (compared to Llamacraft).
WorldGuard also provides a fully customizable item blacklist.  Don't want TNT?  TNT won't work.  Don't want lava buckets?  They don't either.

I must admit I really don't understand why, since SMP got health and damage, no servers have sprung up where everyone roleplays being a dwarf expedition like in DF. Are there any servers like this which I just haven't found yet?

I'm guessing it'd be too specialized. It's one thing to have a town-building server or a PvP server, but an everyone builds X server? I dunno.

Also, a lot of people prefer to go off and do their own thing, so being part of a single monolithic fortress, especially with people they don't know, probably wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

We have too many Bay12 servers.
There's barely 7 people on Jaycraft at peak times anymore :C

I dunno, the Jaycraft guestzone is packed with various B12-ers projects.

That's because we've had people come in and build shit to get promoted. General consensus is that once you get promoted to Regular, anything you leave behind in the GZ is fair game, AFAIK.
