Pfft.  I've got an entire chest full of 64-stacks of dirt, and I'm considering making another one.  I like to shovel away all the dirt off a hilltop or cliff-face, and then build my structures there.  I know dirt doesn't collapse and there's no expressly digging mobs.  But after seeing the ground blow out from under my house by creepers a long time ago, I've always found it comforting, if not necessary, to obey sound architectural principles and extend all my constructions straight up from the bedrock.

It's part of the reason why building anything takes me so long, because I have to get all the dirt out of the way, and then revise my building plans to incorporate the rock formations underneath.
Same. I've never really been all that concerned with the rock formations underneath, but I certainly can't abide building much on dirt.

One of these days I'll probably get around to building a massive earthen structure.

Ye gods, I remember that show.

I still think we need a referee skin for the folks who will be adjudicating the Jaycraft Games.

Just going to keep on rolling with the theme here...

Also same. My singleplayer currently has me converting a huge, near-perfect square crater into a castle, which would be a lot easier if I wasn't compelled to strip the 8 layers or so of dirt away to lay the foundations of my cobble walls.

People 'lol'ing at my self made skin makes me sad.
(It isn't that bad...and looking like yourself isn't very lol-ish material.)

Also, I've been getting back into creative mp, it's pretty fun still :)

Production time: 3.5 hours.
Tools used: GIMP & Internet

I'm aware that the perspective is a bit off and the bar of dirt texture is misaligned. I made this in a hurry for my ENG 102 class, and I'm still learning the Perspective tool in GIMP.

Not gonna happen until I get some sleep, if at all - I forgot to save the working file before I used the perspective tool and then saved as a .png. I'll need to recreate it, but that won't take too long.

Not now, just sometime. Because I would totally print it out and stick it on a case.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Slightly updated and rearranged, but otherwise the same.

Enjoy.
