Me: I'm going to make a multiplayer server for me and a couple friends!
Notch: I fixed some multiplayer bugs, there are still some bad ones.
Me: I'll just start it in a few days when he gets some more fixed.

Imagine this repeating every few days and you have my situation.

I've got my server back up and running for a while, but it keeps crashing. Oh well.

Figured I may as well sprite a full set... they'll be good for team-based games. Also, just in case you weren't a child of the 90's: Legends of the Hidden Temple.

Ye gods, I remember that show.

I still think we need a referee skin for the folks who will be adjudicating the Jaycraft Games.

Pfft.  I've got an entire chest full of 64-stacks of dirt, and I'm considering making another one.  I like to shovel away all the dirt off a hilltop or cliff-face, and then build my structures there.  I know dirt doesn't collapse and there's no expressly digging mobs.  But after seeing the ground blow out from under my house by creepers a long time ago, I've always found it comforting, if not necessary, to obey sound architectural principles and extend all my constructions straight up from the bedrock.

It's part of the reason why building anything takes me so long, because I have to get all the dirt out of the way, and then revise my building plans to incorporate the rock formations underneath.  I've never totally grasped the concept of the terrain being infinitely mutable, or at least I've never totally relinquished my principle of building with the terrain instead of on it, and not unnecessarily marring the ground for some project.  Besides, I find a lot more inspiration in looking at landscapes and then designing buildings for them, rather than just plunking down identical floating rings and towers and crap anywhere I want one.
