I remember before the forums turned into a cesspool the largest issue we had was people clogging up the suggestions forum by making crap like "Hey, how about boats? The crafting recipe could be like this. kthanksbye" followed by a douche saying tl;dr and another accusing the original post of being a troll. So yeah, I have a dislike of all crafting recipe suggestions. They are easy enough that people can figure them out on their own. The only debate one would have over them is how expensive some things are in terms of resources.

And dammit Creepers don't need the extra creepiness of tildes.

If you poke them at the right time when they're about to pop, they can be pushed over a cliff and onto the specially prepared fence full of sheep and cows.

Not that I do this.

Which is exactly why they are creepy in the first place.

No, they're creepy because they sneak the fuck up behind you while you're working on some shit that is really important.

Creeper bombs are worse.

You're minding your own business, doing some stuff, and a creeper FALLS on you and explodes. You just can't predict that sometimes.

I was only making the suggestion because he asked for one at the end of the thread. Dirt + Dirt just doesn't make much sense as far as shooting tnt goes.

SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTION! I thought it affected a small area and now it is destroying one of my main worlds!!
HOW CAN I STOP IT!! Can someone alter the code to stop it? Or at the very least recommend a map editor that allows you to select a block and have it delete every one of that block on the map? PLEASE ANSWER!!! His description didnt say it would infect EVERYTHING!!!!

The above quote means I officially give this mod my seal of approval.  :D

You should make a block that will contaminate a certain radius around it instead of just making it spread madly. A block that also spawns spiders... Contaminated spiders... When they die, they drop another spawn block. :o

I like the basic idea of the contaminant block. Anyone else think it sounds like Grey Goo?

Anyway, I agree with someone else who suggested that the goo block should eventually destroy itself. This would quickly lead to huge bites being taken out of the world, with a rough margin of grey goo around the edge.

While you're at it, have it deal damage to players who are touching it for that extra edge. Perhaps have it be unable to damage solid gold or diamond blocks. Or, if you want to be really mean, have only bricks be immune.

It spreads through the air. You'd be forced to live in a bunker for the entirety of your life.
