If I had time I would have drawn my texture pack I had planned.

Yes, that is right, the blocks will have a nice steampunkish texture to them instead of this unfitting one.
I also expanded the cargo to 3x2 which made the ship more balanced on the outside.
It floats JUST under the max height too.
Can we get a shot of the outside?

Also please spoiler the images.
In due time I shall get one, night fell again and it's not very pretty as I didn't draw the plans out nor build a large enough baloon.

Those are actually quite cool looking and I'm not a huge steampunk fan.

Okay, that is probably one of the most awesome texture packs I've seen in a good while. Gonna wait until the next version of it.

Now I want to build an airship. Loading up the Bloodfist with these textures would also be pretty awesome. Of course, I seem to lag a bit just trying to reach the ship alone.

Whenever possible, I gotta take some pics of the Bloodfist with the Steampunk TP applied.

Oh My Fucking God.

1:1 Enterprise-D...in CREATIVE.

Sure as hell makes my planned 320m airship look insignificant.

A little bigger than 1:1 actually. And he imported much of the framework, IIRC. Creative would be easier than survival, too.

Okay, 44% larger.

Dunno how he imported the framework, if he did.

As for Creative being easier than survival...well, duh. Still impressive.

He actually explains it in the video description.

It's 22% bigger, not 44%. He didn't import the framework directly to Minecraft; he has a scale model blueprints of it, and he converted it to a minecraft-friendly version, then built it by hand. You can see all the scaffolding etc.

I have creepers and arachnids spawning outside, my entrance seems to have a shade problem, so they live by day too. The tree I was going to clear away to tidy up my entrance saved my life and now I've ran inside and walled everything off, having narrowly escaped a creeper which was managing to climb up behind me.
Edit: Is it better to just mine down with mine shafts, carving out sort of stairs or to go down then go outwards?

Creepers and spiders don't die in the sunlight. Only skeletons and zombies.

Not sure what you're asking, but since the Halloween update, the deeper you go the brighter conditions monsters can spawn in, so bring a lot of torches either way.
