I know this is old news, but yes, it was.
Because the list of random splashes that it reads from is definitely part of the source code.

Those things are not in the list, because it would make no sense to have them come up randomly.
The fact of the matter is that he coded it to show on those days, like I said originally :|

That was already one of the possible text's to come up
No, it wasn't.
yes, it was.

You're correct that it wasn't in the list, but that's not what sneakey pete said.

Are you being that obtuse ironically?  Please tell me you are...
That was already one of the possible text's to come up
It was/is not possible for that text to come up before/after that day, because it is not in that list.
Note the plural in his statement.  That was THE ONLY possible text for that day, not ONE OF the possible textS.

Dang, Minecraft has incredible potential. Also, it keeps surprising me long after I think I know it all. Every time I hear the cave sounds, even though I know there's nothing...I tend to glance around me just to make sure. I especially dislike that high-pitched, psycho-like cave sound. And the music is great, and somehow manages to get creepy when you get used to it, and it suddenly fades away.

I was digging in my mine, with all its corridors, when I heard the familiar clacking of skeleton archer bones. I figured that I must be digging close to the surface of somewhere, and ignored it. Then, when I went to return upstairs, I casually looked by each corridor as I went up, and froze when I saw a movement in one of them. Man. Inadvertent horror, right here. I went and killed it easily, but still...the moment when I saw that movement made me tense up. Heh.

I'm trying to use the in-browser version, but the game window keeps coming up as a blank white box. Any idea whats going on here for me?

Edit: Checked the minecraft forums briefly and it looks like alot of people are having the same issue with the browser version. No idea whats going on with the Jaycraft server as I was having issues logging in.

I think part of the immense fear with Minecraft and the baddies is how they could be anywhere and surprise you, and even if you can easily run up to anything and kill it without taking a scratch they can easily sneak up on you, and you don't have a lot of leeway when it comes to taking damage.

Today we shed a tear for the loss of my steam punk airship baloon which I have been building for a grand ship using the steampunk pack.
It has taken over a week now and it has consumed more than 10000 wool blocks when a ghast had spawned outside my gate and managed to launch a stray fire ball into it.
It was quickly engulfed in flame.
I am not happy about this.

I calculated it, it took about 48 thousand blocks.
I am dissappoint.
It was LITERALY a super airship.

Well, we've learned not to build super-flammable mega-constructions outside gates to hell now haven't we?

No, we haven't. This only means that we didn't try hard enough. I suggest more magma.

I completed my grand palace. So many chests filled with smooth stone. So much furnacing and logging and burning. It is done. And then a creeper spawned on the roof because I forgot to put torches there. I am uncertain of how to proceed.

This is literally do-able.
