Multiplayer is completly unplayable... I don't know what the hell happened.

Maybe notch made the server check if the block has been mined for long enough? It certainly feels that way. and the respawning blocks are now permanent instead of "temporary and *poof*"

That [Magma] is a bit deep down there, don't you think?
You really aren't thinking like a dwarf.

If you think it is down too far, you move it up until it reaches an acceptable elevation.

Are you mining in the spawn chunk? Was there no funky server software protecting the blocks?

Holding the button down to mine sometimes does that. It's a brand new bug.

Oh I was wondering about that. I was expecting the blocks to poof and they never did.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I appear to have cloned myself.

Edit: Resized the image to something less absurd.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

Indeed, ductape had this happen to him on Jaycraft earlier today. The corpse is visible to other players and for some reason seems to stuck around whether or not the chunk is loaded.

If you look back I had the same thing happen to me. I lost that save due to me starting my LP on it though.

On closer inspection of the pillar it turned out to be a stone archway with sand covering it.

I think in the world of minecraft every now and then, instead of rain or snow, it sands instead.

There comes a time when you must take off the soft, furry slippers of a boy and put on the shoes of a man.
Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.
