Go to run, type %appdata%, enter, .minecraft, saves, extract it there and rename it to world(Number from 1 to 5)

The world file inside the RAR is named world 1.

Final count from cleaning up after that forest fire (eg, removing the remaining logs), 1750 logs cut down. That was a dam big forest.

Bugfix update, nothing too major.  You won't get stuck in the sky now though.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

Apparently, there's a texture pack contest.

The best submission will not only receive a 180 GB OCZ Vertex 2 E SSD signed by Notch, which also comes preloaded with Minecraft (a pretty big deal), but also a signed painting by Kristoffer Zetterstrand, estimated retail value 25000 SEK (3700 US$).
Wait, what?

Am I the only one who is completely confounded by this?
The game is 60 megabytes, including the music and such.  How is that even...  What?
Beyond that, how in the /hell/ does that mean anything to someone who would have to already own, have downloaded, and play the game in order to make a texture pack to win the contest in the first place?

you dont have to buy it to design textures. just download free version. which differs from paid one.
i assume a paid version preloaded on hdd

There isn't a free Alpha IIRC.

Alternatively, just log in to that friend's paid account to edit the textures yourself.
