Better not die anymore. I alt-tabbed while descending my super long ladder, came back dead on a spider and no inventory items dropped. Lost everything.

YYEESSS!!!! It's the 30th for me over here. I started seeing random pumpkins and it stopped snowing in my snow world.

I just spawned a new world. I don't see any new biomes or anything yet, but I'm sure they're around.

One amusing thing I *did* see is a magma flow coming out of a mountain down to a forest. There is now a nice big forest fire over there. I think I'll wait until it dies down to explore that part...

Notch didn't finish that part. Everything else is in though, so watch out in your deeper caverns, lit or not.

I'm thinking some of these portals could be better placed.

No, the game autoplaces a destination portal when leaving hell, and in this case it was over an ocean.
Anyway, I'm not sure what the game could do to alieviate that. You're teleporting in over an ocean, there aren't many options.

Ah, good ol' skyportals. I told you about them bro. :y

But yeah, Like I said earlier, bring a bucket of water with you for returning to the overworld, just in case you portal out above a mountain, but not above the mountain part, or something.

I believe the exit portal is dependent on the location and elevation of the portal in the slip.

Should probably refrain from replying when you have absolutely no idea what occurred in my game.

This portal was found in a newly generated chunk. I have never left hell through this portal or gone through it.

The exit portal is not, as I just discovered, apparently linked to anything. I went back through my original portal after seeing the horrors of the Nether and nearly getting killed by Ghast, and it dumped me somwhere else. I...I don't know where I am...

EDIT: I found my way back, over a few hills. There are now three portals in my world. I made one of them. I think we may have made a horrible mistake.

I think portals not linking is happening if you place portal in real world and it does not find a place where to put it in nether (e.g. in solid rock) then moves it to open place and its gets too far.

Making little excursions into Hell to study the xeno. The better to kill it.

Pretty neat so far, but I haven't found any interesting recipes.
