I'm fairly curious as to how it'll handle elevation, to prevent things like a gate appearing in midair on the other side, or inside of a mountain. Perhaps a semi-random location on the surface nearest to the corresponding gate on the other side?

I haven't seen anyone on my Skylands server in almost two weeks. I think I'll be shutting it down for good soon. If anyone is interested, I can probably upload the map file so you can continue on in singelplayer.

I've tried connecting, but it stops on "Logging in".

Personally I'd rather be wrong and corrected then needing to study and then possibly STILL being wrong.

Especially when the method of knowing is out of reach.

Siege engines?

Notch BETTER make us able to make either exploding minecarts or attach ramming spikes.

I'm pretty sure it is already possible to make rockets in MC. Why would you need anything else?

Elaborate, please. I know we can make cannons to fire TNT, but rockets is a bit far-fetched.

Would a powered minecart push an activated tnt block? Get one going fast enough, activate the tnt at the right time, and you have a speeding explosive charge. bonus points if redstone shenanigans make it automated, having the cart activate the tnt and drop it in front of the cart.

I just found a cave two tiles from my spawn on a new world. Hacked in infinite torches. Three hours later, I have fully explored this cave, and nothing else on the world. Save size is up to 9 mb.

Powered minecarts are too slow. Boosters all the way.

I was talking about the cannons (I call them rockets. Potato Potahto.)

But the minecart idea is also viable.
