Okay... I have to: where is that avatar from?

It's a 3D fractal renderer called "Mandelbulber".

More info in vid description. Awesome stuff, but I couldn't get my head around the UI.
Damn you.
I just spent a good 10 minutes rendering this.  Why?  I don't know.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Jaycraft is going strong.  Map renders are now performed at midnight server time (Pacific time; currently GMT -7) every night, automatically.
I want to implement something that will make it automatically restart the server itself if it crashes, but I don't know how to do that :\

Yeah, according to the renderer that made the animation, it took approx. 2 weeks to get mine done. Yeah.

Oh, and after having done my exploration of the mines (and still got a little more to go through), I checked on the tree cages I was using for forcing a large tree to grow. 3 in-game days, and I give up. It hasn't grown. I've decided to place 3-tile tall pillars next to the sapling instead.

What is Jaycraft? A Server or Mod?

Anyone ever find a dungeon with no treasure? I forgot I was exploring on peaceful, so that may have something to do with it. I found an already-breached dungeon with the empty spawner that you see on peaceful. That was it.

Which server and whereabouts? If it is PTTG?'s, I raided a few dungeons near my place (the walled off peninsula) and stored the supplies in a seperate chest tucked behind the incinerator in my house. If there was a sign somewhere in the dungeon saying something along the lines of OJ wuz here, it was me :P Feel free to grab your reward from my chest if thats the case.

Also, the empty spawner cage is universal now; non of the spawners have that little spinny mob anymore.

he spoke about setting the difficulty to peaceful, so I think it was in single player, not on a server.

Said that, however, I still have no clue. I only ever found one dungeon, and it had items. useless items, but items.

Correct. I suppose I should have specified in the post.

I have yet to find a dungeon, but I've only really explored the landmass that I started on and a little bit of the lake off one side to build my underwater glass pyramid.

I found four dungeons in one cuboid-crater I made on Jaycraft.
None of the chests were empty.

I really don't know what to tell you.

If you don't find chests, I suggest digging out anything in the room. I had one spawner room with no visible chests; dug through the gravel and such in the room and found 2.

Okay, that cavern I found eastbound, which I have formally named it the "Sandy Sinkhole Mines", is a hell of alot deeper than it initially appeared. Here's a hint for you spelunkers. Gravel is quite valuable. They seem to link to other cave systems and have a habit of hiding ores.

I 2nd this thought, gravel can lead to good things. Just don't stand directly underneath a (non-physics) block while digging because if there's gravel above it you can get dumped on.

I usually use gravel/sand in caves to mark where I've blocked a spring/magma source so I can restore it when I'm done digging everything out.

Along those lines, I've seen sand suspended above caverns that (nearly) reached the surface. Digging one block causes all connected blocks to collapse.
