OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD
It's not even 10% of the thicket that's burning.
And it utterly murders the server if you load the chunks that it is in.
Eep.

Perhaps you qualify for FEMA aid now.

Gah it converted to .jpg; Does anyone know a good image upload site that doesn't compress or convert images?
Try Dropbox. Put the pics in your public folder and it will give you links for them. No compression or changes to the file at all, just a straight web link so you can embed it or let others download it. That is my referral link, using that gets you(and me) extra space. If you prefer not to use the referral just go to dropbox.com and sign up, its easy and you get 2GB (2.25 with referral) without paying.

Can you selectively load and replace chunks? If so, why not just find out which chunks are causing the lagging (because presumably they are on fire) then replace them with their backups? I guess this might require restarting the server after finding out a chunk causes lag, though, so I guess it'd take a while. Alternatively you could just load the backup, find chunks which are fine, and sub em into the backup, I'm not sure which is easier.

Was it actually a user that caused the fire or was there some fire source that got placed improperly?

Im pretty sure the problem was that we had lava everywhere near the thicket.

Well, it's playable, as long as you avoid the thicket.

And there's no Runecraft or Llamacraft.
And anything we do will be lost when the server is reverted to the last working backup.
But hey.  We're having fun with TNT in the meantime.

I tried to join when I saw this.

But then I remembered my last log-off was literally on top of the thicket.

I might not be coming back :p

I'm not opposed to starting a new map soonish. Perhaps for the Halloween update?

I am depressed due to my lack of Runecraft. :(

How much TNT are we talking?

I am thinking cannons. Shame there's no runecraft; Faith island cannon combat would be epic.

You probably last saved too near the thicket for it to work properly. Most of what you are missing is digging large holes into people's houses and plugging them with TNT. Then running.

Unfortunately I ran too far last time and am now staring at a fire, which is enough to lag me out each time. Hopefully I didn't load the thicket into view or some such.

Are you connecting via the new IP?
I kinda changed it to be more descriptive instead of my username as it was before.
The username one redirects to my computer as it did before; I'll be using my server to test other server mods such as hey0's.
