...huh. But back a few posts...

My home fort:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

...we have burning tree stumps floating in the air. Had they just not fully combusted when the screenshot was taken? Or... something?  ???

I'd just like to know if there's any other way to get infini-fuel. Partially for scientific curiosity, partially because it's an awesome-sounding bug feature that I wouldn't mind exploiting using in my fort.  ;D

Just light a tree on fire. Since the wood/leaves will burn at different times, the bug commonly occurs, and it burns forever. Burn a forest and you too will end up with a forest of flaming trees!
Here's the view from the top, where you saw just a few burning trees. That is the result of me having fun with flint and steel down below and an unintentional lava fire up above due to the lavafall being a wee bit too close to the dense forest I planted.

On anther note, here's a fun structure I built to keep the creepers off my valuable goods. Double thick stone, all coated in a wonderful, syrupy layer of lava goodness. Any nasties run at me come straight into a lava flow. heh

You can remove the non flammable after the log/wood is ignited, though sometimes you might have to try again.
The flaming floating stumps is from a forest fire where the leafs sometimes acts as the X, though it burns away fast and just leaves the stump.

No glitch for infinite fuel that i know of.

Did anyone ever get the password for Heaven in Skylands? I only have a single number, as of right now.

1. Play Minecraft single player
2. Make cool stuff
3. Cartograph the map in day and night
4. Put maps together
5. Set as desktop background
6. ???
7. Profit!
8. Repeat steps 1-7 daily

Because I'm a geek with no life and some spare cycles, I'm running the archive through an archive password cracker as we speak.

Hmm well after toying around with minecraft after restarting my comp its definitely something related to the minecraft.jar (I have a feeling that mod was meant for those with a full account...), I guess if noone can post it without getting in trouble I can't play the game anymore until I can scrounge the money.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I'll never find enough coal for all this clay  :'( . A singular chest filled entirely with full stacks of clay. Looks like I'm doing a brick mansion.

After about a half-hour of work, my railway is roughly one-third finished.  I still need to build some long bridges over the lake, and a long tunnel through a cliff-face.  Something to consider when building transit lines - minecarts do not travel as the creeper flies.  Tracks can only be laid orthogonally, so all tracks make use of Manhattan distances.  So long as it never moves in any direction away from the destination, the track will be exactly the same length, no matter how it's laid out.  As such, I've taken a rather scenic route through some badlands terrain, winding between (and through) mountains to stay straight and level as much as possible.

Of course, the only real point of this railway is to slightly speed up transfer of building materials to where I'm making my castle (six chests worth of crap, plus my crowded inventory).  And I stumbled across one of my old mining projects in the badland, and a new huge cave network that may go all the way down.  This is quite a project, considering I haven't even designed the house yet.

Holy shit, be careful on that flint making rocking. I just had a massive layer of it crash 100 levels into an ocean of magma and redstone. I managed to grab 5 diamonds out of the situation, but I'm stumped when it comes to extracting myself.
