I miss having sound. ; _;

Minecraft just isn't the same like this..

Minecraft has sound?

And yeah, Minecraft.net is probably sobbing in a corner right now.
Fixed. And yes it is. I actually logged into my account on the normal page earlier today but there's a temp page up now.

Done already. Takes up some 2-3gb of ram. Not all that great, both for the server and players.
I..  what?
The game dynamically loads chunks into the RAM as necessary.  It doesn't load the entire map at once...
The converter might, but that shouldn't be done while the server is RUNNING, anyway...

EDIT: In other news, I installed 64-bit Java and upped Jaycraft's RAM limit to 2GB.
And we're also now running Runecraft!
Soulwynd has set up a teleport to the Thicket Castle at the spawn, where a series of teleports await destinations.

Hmm... has anyone discovered the location of "Heaven" in Skylands? It seems the password is split between all of the dungeons.

Perhaps this has something to do with the turtle beach rumors?

There's a porter to Heaven in the porter area. It's labeled "Opulence" or something like that.

Getting there without a porter or a password is actually quite easy. Just bring a bunch of stacks of building material. That's how I got there to set up the first porter.

This is all assuming you're talking about Lap's server and not Skylands in general.

Heaven is nothing special. Just a big chunk of rock and dirt. Aside from having an abundance of all mineral resources, there's really nothing to do there but mine. When I first got there, there weren't even any trees until someone planted one.

I got to the cheese island earlier. You have to go on to my new home, the helldoom dungeon, to get to it.

"taco" is running around lighting all the bridges on fire.
It's quite annoying.

Almost all of the teleporters are down.  The vandal went through them and destroyed the receiving gates.

I really love Penny-Arcade. More for the people than the comic, but that's brilliant and makes me want to buy this game so much.

Long synopsis of today ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you. Contained within are some details to the semimegaproject I and possibly others are working on.

It would seem I stumbled onto this game at a rather unfortunate time. Is it game free-to-play though? Paid accounts are mentioned on the temporary site or are those just accounts with additional benefits (for donating)? I'm very excited to try it out myself 8)

Creative mode is free to play always, and Alpha is too, but only temporarily. It's 10 euros normally, though, so go grab it and play it free to see if you want to pay.

Jack, you don't have Minecraft?  Yeah, I guess not, or you'd have been around.  Hey, lemme buy it for you.  Finally, I get the chance to lavish attention on Jack.
