Someone treespammed.

Hope you've got a backup world-save kicking around.

It is apparent that you have never visited Jaycraft.

You really aren't thinking like a dwarf.

If you think it is down too far, you move it up until it reaches an acceptable elevation.

I think the problem is the carved out checkerboard thing. The trees are normal though.

I have diamond tools but I've barely even touched them.

The trees and the checkerboard are both obviously intentional if you've visited Jaycraft before.
The only reason I didn't crop the image down to the quickbar was for that little ruse.

I just went on Jay's server and attempted to punch him.

Notch, implement PvP damage already! I want to be able to punch people through the internet!

Sorry to double post, but one thing bugs me... Why does SMP lag the pants off of my processing speed? It's not an immediate effect, but rather gradual, eventually making things just plain too slow.

I think I have a problem, you guys.

Your problem is that you have an outcrop of rock sticking out of your forest. Better cover that up.

So, I just had the first proper blue-screen ever on this computer, while mining the craft.  The message while it was dumping physical memory to the drive was that my graphics driver got stuck in an infinite loop.  Is this something that's happened to other Minecrafters?

Not me.

While the game has had a few hiccups, nothing that serious has happened.

Happened to me a few times. It seemed to happen particularly when I opened a youtube video while minecraft was open, paused and not minimised in the background. Downloading the latest graphics drivers (I have an 8600GT) seemed to fix the problem.

I never had any blue screen, but minecraft crashes hard enough to force me to reset. once an hour.

maybe I should try updating my graphic card drivers, but last time I did it the graphic card stopped working.
Do you know how hard it is to get back to where I downloaded the drivers and try again when you have no GPU and the CPU has to render everything? it is sloooooow.
at the end I gave up and reinstalled the old ones.
