I now have a little hole, made of wood, that I am holed up in.  Under siege by creepers and spiders.  Oh gosh, a creeper just exploded my doorstep, going to have to make that thing stronger next time.

So am I correct in assuming that survival mode is multiplayer now? With mosnters coming out at night and all that sort of thing? And infinite maps?

If so I'm definatly getting this game on the morrow.

Actually, minecarts do work.
They just spawn a second, immobile one, and only work for the person who placed them.
But otherwise, they work fine.

Should Be, too. Not quite Will Be. Although  Notch is pretty reliable, I suspect that Multiplayer will take a little bit longer to get working.
 
It will be very exciting when we have basically the same thing as Left 4 Creeper'd.
