BEWARE
Notch has just updated it and LAVA NOW BURNS THINGS.
...If I load up my world1, I'm hosed.
The lava in my wooden house will cause a catastrophe.

E: Also, it is direct IP connections, not URL.
I don't want to post my IP here for the whole world to see.
Once I get my server going, PM me for the necessary details.

I am totally digging(Puntacular!) the swing animation!

Also, that sucks Jay, but I saw that coming a mile away. This is why I don't play with lava!

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

I actually wanted an excuse to delete that world anyway.
The main house burning down would be a pretty good one, I think.

Wow. Generating a world while the old world is still being deleted leads to some very interesting mapgen.

I suggest everybody try it.

How would we go about doing that?

Once the level.dat is gone, it should behave as if the slot is empty, allowing you to begin creating a new world, if the world is somewhat large (15-25mb) the deletion process will take some time. Overlapping with the new mapgen, leading to very interesting results.

Ok, so you just gen a HUGE world by walking one way forever, 'cause I have a map where I'm doing that.

15MB isn't that big. Which is about the size of the world I used. It's the exploration of a moderate sized island and some boating excursions.

Sweet, so if there is a server admin who you REALLY HATE, you can send your airplane bombers after them?
 I like it.
