or just put an unpowered powered cart in front as a weight.
Player/storage carts cannot make powered carts move in the slightest.
So unless the powered cart in back can transfer its "can_move_enigne_cart" flag up through the others, that will just result in a cart sandwich.

*facepalm*

what he is saying is that the posterior powered cart will push the following normal carts. but the normal carts won't be able to push the powered cart at the front of the train, because normal carts can't, in any way, affect the movement of a forge/cart thing.

so the design you are proposing would just be a cart sandwich

...............This latest map generation has rendered me speechless.
I spawned, and it was pitch black.
Odd, as it should be daytime, right?
As it turns out...

My spawn is back by that cactus.
A couple of smaller cave systems intersect it in the back.  This is like a dream come true.
....I found dwarf heaven.  And it is my home.

Apparently, one that can't read.

I did notice that I made a typo there.  Oh well, quoted a few times, so I can't fix it now.

You goddam SMP idiots. I want to slap them over the internet at how silly this is all getting. You cannot take away moderator abilities in SMP. What is a terrible idea. Why would you think that is in any way a good idea?

Sure.

It's just the level.dat, because, as this is a natural formation, the changes I've made to the chunks are irrelevant.
Have fun.

Love this game. It's truly a kindred spirit to DF. If Notch and Toady ever collaborated I think the awesome would destroy the universe.

They would at least bring Valve Software to its knees, apparently.  I do find it a little weird that Notch has made at least twice as much money as Toady ever made off donations, in about a third of the time.  There's a lesson in there somewhere, but I'm sure as Hell not going to find it.
If you make a game, make it little kid friendly so the little 11 year olds that frequent the minecraft forums can pay all their parents money to notch?

Argflargin' Idiots. That's what they all are. You can't have someone run a server and keep it under control if you don't have a power that sets you apart from the regulars.

As a server admin, god thing, for the DFC tf2 server. I can wholeheartedly agree with duke here that removing admin commands would be a very, very, very bad idea.

What happens to griefers? Do they just stand around killing people unfairly? Spawning lava springs in peoples houses?

Apparently it's part of the game, and you should deal with it and kill them yourself if they are causing you trouble. If you can't defend it you are at fault for not being strong enough to defend your stuff.

Which is, utter bullshit.

They're proposing that you have to be fucking omnipresent and Omnipowerful in order to deal with the scum of the world. I can't wait to see their fucking faces when they have to eat every piece of their own shit.

Also, I think I cracked down on that thread quite nicely, thanks Duke, for directing me to that. :)

*shrug* All they can consider is what it means for them as regular players, not the consequences that will occur if a griefer gets into the server.

Grieferlol has joined the server
Player1: OMG he's deleting my house
Player2: banbanban
Grieferlol: Trololol
Playeradmin3: I can't ban him you motherfuckers there are no commands
Player2: OMG SMP sux
Player1: why would notch do this
VoiceOfReason: Because you asked him to, you retard.

Well, admitedly griefing will be a lot harder in this game, considering your spawn point will be where you last logged off. And it won't be as simple as just holding down right click for 10 seconds to destroy a house.

Greifing will be harder in SMP but I imagine sand suffocatrion will be the most common way.
