I don't have all the wonders of jay's map
Well, it's good to see I've left an impact on someone, haha.
Yeah, I'll have that map (world5, the highly developed map) up on my server as soon as I know it's not going to turn all my signs into staircases (oh lawd Notch).

That's three in a row in this thread alone!

My game randomly just black screens and does nothing, it's random too, I can play for a few hours and have none while I could play for a minute and get one.
No crash or anything.

Uh..
That's exactly what a crash is.
Just means the session didn't automatically get terminated after it happened.

Hey Jay, did you apply the changes to all layers? It would have been cool to keep the underground somewhat unchanged so you could still find a few water springs and dirt clumps down there, like the surface of the world became hell but beneath the surface life still bloomed.

As far as I know, that's not even possible.
Maybe MineEdit got updated since I downloaded it.

put lots of TNT at the bottom, make ship out of blocks that can be thrown int air by explosion, give up your mortal body.

there is NO way to make a working rocket ship.
just make a mancannon

You can sit in a minecart while waiting for the explosion. The only damage suffered is by the minecart.

And then the fall damage does your legs in.
Then a spider eats you.

Actually, the minecart is destroyed upon landing. :D
The spider, however, may be a problem.

Make a multistage mancannon to launch yourself into the sky.

Each stage launches you into a minecart on the next stage in the air, with the final stage at the highest point you can build at, and have it all controlled by an intricate timing mechanism.

...or just build one mancannon at the highest point you can get to.  But the multistage idea is more dwarfy.

the bad thing, however, is that gunpowder is rare and you will need lots of it to fuel that devilish contraption. such an elaborate way to commit suicide... I am going to be agry if there is no video of it.

by the way, livestream going up.

edit: stream down

Love this game. It's truly a kindred spirit to DF. If Notch and Toady ever collaborated I think the awesome would destroy the universe.

They would at least bring Valve Software to its knees, apparently.  I do find it a little weird that Notch has made at least twice as much money as Toady ever made off donations, in about a third of the time.  There's a lesson in there somewhere, but I'm sure as Hell not going to find it.
