It works fine for me, have coal in hand, right click it, and it seems to go FOREVER (until it stops, but if you put it on a loop, it'll go infinity) stop it, put the carts you want to push in front of it, then start it and get in the ridable one.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

So, apparently Gravel has a purpose! Flint is now used in arrows, or so I hear. And if feathers come from chickens, ammo is no longer in short supply. Time for me to hunt me down some spiders.

These cargo and power minecarts will help multiplayer a great deal- you'll be able to send shipments of ore from your base deep in the mines all the way to the town on the surface, while you stay below to mine- and they can send down picks and food and the arrows you'll need to fight the deep-below skeletons and zombies and creepers and slimes.

People all over the world, join hands
Start a death train, death train
People all over the world, join hands
Start a death train, death train
The next stop that we make will be soon
Tell all the folks in TF2, and Bay12, too
Don't you know that it's time to get on board
And let this train keep on riding, riding on through
Well, well
People all over the world, join hands
Start a death train, death train
People all over the world, join in
Start a death train, death train

That is a huge and incredibly shitty screenshot.  I'm not buying it yet.

Anyway, I just made a circle track around some hilly terrain, using 64 track pieces.  The minecar the player rides in has less mass than the other cars.  With a container car between me and the engine, I was rocketed around the track like a croquette ball, frequently crashing into the back of the engine.

Also, God damn is that some long burning coal.  I wish it did that in the smelter.  I suppose the incredibly long lifetime is so that the engine doesn't run out of power halfway up a hill.  But then, that kind of unforgiving need for forethought is right up Minecraft's alley.

So does the coal in the forge-minecart ever finish burning, or does it really last forever?

Whee, I'm on my way to my first megaproject:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's not much, but it's kinda pretty. It was surprisingly fast to build too. Though I wonder what happens if the ice decides to melt.

I think it lasts forever as long as it doesn't hit a wall. It's been running here for at least 30 minutes.
