And I haven't found any reeds or clay, even though I looked on the beaches forever :(

Clay is one of those rarer materials; I have yet to find any at all. However, reeds only grow on dirt that's near water.

I'm not so ashamed to to say I cheated in my search for clay, though I did find a little through exploration. Using cartograph I got it to render me a normal map of the world, then one with only 82. I took the second image and changed the colour of the patches to bright red then overlay that onto the first image, following this new image it was easy to find the tinny amount of clay on my map.

I think it's a shame there are not bigger and/or more frequent deposits. I'd like to use the clay itself as a building material but it's far too scarce. I'd be happy if there was more to be had but building brick blocks was more expensive to compensate. It would be nice if clay was used underground like the dirt and gravel is currently.

I found massive amounts of clay, around every 30 blocks or so on one map.
Of course, this was effectively an island map, with no sizable land around for quite a few chunks.

But even with all that clay, I wasn't able to complete a brick house.

Yeah, clay is reeeeeeealy rare. It should be underground. Even better would be to do away with the "brick" item and go straight from clay lump to brickwall cube. Four units of brick per unit of fuel and unit of clay would be economically viable.

I've still yet to find any Reeds.
But on my first attempt after the update, I found 3 clay blocks.
And I have no idea what to do with them.

Success.

Further research finds that a TNT cannon positioned right can launch TNT into minecart and generate some movement however it has many flaws and my cannon design isn't quite right anyway.

Anyway, back on topic:
NWP Test server?

Yes. Tahin and I set it up this weekend. Just some minor technical difficulties that we'll address shortly.

I'll put up a fresh link when it starts working.

Even if it was lost. RobBot should be able to restore it!

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

*votes RobBot name to be changed to Marvin*

Ps. What's the client wrapper you have been using Clahoun? To get the cheats and hopefully be able to play out of the browser.
