I'm doing TF2 maps, why don't you copy a map from a game you like in your world?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
These are my minions. Hambreed, Sammy and Jonothan.
They all died while following me to the surface, from fall damage.
Hambreed lasted the longest; upon reaching the surface, a cow promptly nudged him back in and he fell to his doom.

I have kept their slimeballs in a chest, surrounded by lava.
They way they'd want to be buried.

I already have a scale model of the Nist Akath from Wurm (that I made there too) here.

I might make a Menger sponge...

The bright side is that it can always grow in size. =p

Well, since you just ninja'd my edited post anyway...
Just finished making Korcatten Zocukromek, "Cavern Channel of Ominous Length" (I'm sure it's actually impossible to get it to translate that way, but I don't care)

That's the skybox you can see inside it.
Thing is at least twice as long as the maximum draw distance.

How did you get water all the way through it?

Buckets.
Tip with 9 units of water in a square pattern, take out the middle one with a bucket.
Inf water.

How did you get water all the way through it?
If you have something that is three tiles wide and you have two buckets of water, do as such
Code: [Select]
XXXXX X - wall
XSwSX  S - spring (bucketed water)
XwwwX   w - water (empty space prior to bucketing)
XwwSx
XwwwX
XwwSX
(repeat last two rows as needed)
Once you place the first row, you can take water from the tile between the two springs and it will regenerate, allowing you to place the third row.
Once you reach the third row, you can take water from any of the nine tiles and it will regenerate, allowing you to place the spring in the fifth, and so forth.

Started another alpha world. found a cave right near my starting location that was literally a giant sinkhole, but branched off at the bottom. got myself some loads of coal and a little iron, forging it all inside the cave before making my way back to the surface.didn't like the area, so I sailed north. and north. and north. (and walked a bit, sailed a bit more. I eventually came to a continent with bigger moutains, a good sign. Find some peaks about cloud height, looking good. lots of water. better. Waterfall just below the top of a vertical peak:excellent. cave at the bottom of this waterfall, even mroe awesome. Got myself lost in there for a good hour, lots of iron. Make my way out, make house on top of hill, go to get glass. discover another sinkhole like cave with water fall falling into it. Pretty bloody awesome spot this.

Sailing the high seas is pretty enjoyable. My only issue is I generally play on a low render distance (second shortest) and therefore can't stray too far from the shore without expecting to get hopelessly lost from my hilltop house.

And I really need to explore the beaches to try and find enough clay to finish the second story brickwork of the house. There is none on my shoreline for a days sailing either way, might have to extend the search a bit wider, or maybe sail straight across the sea and see what bounty the foreign lands can bring.

Notch has been talking about MP test on twitter. Needs invites.
Anyone got on?

He's had those going on for a while now.

Don't bother asking for an invite.
Anybody that's not a beta tester by nature would be sorely disappointed because it's not actually really playable yet.
The idea right now is to find and fix the severe bugs, like that one that made right-clicking with anything spawn a block.
Not-so-much actually play the game.

E: As I expected, the reed is a reed, not bamboo or papyrus.  Confirmed by Notch.

Eh, I do enough software testing at work. I just want my games to run right.
