Letter "T", Niltrias. We saw you hop in and leave, I was wondering why you logged off so quick...

Oh, thanks.  Sorry about that, I couldnt figure out how to answer you, so I popped back here and posted that question.  Im not going to be much use in creative mode, I just wanted to look around and see what the lag was like.  When they get multi-player survival mode going, Ill be happy to spend some time on the server.

I'll be hosting my world5 once we have the survival multiplayer software.
Course, it'll be run off my personal computer (don't have the funds for a dedicated..  not even enough to foot the bill to run one of the older machines we have lying around 24/7..  it's quite sad) so it won't be up all the time, but...
I'm going to host too, damn it.

In the meantime, join us for some creative fun. Just let us know that you're a good B12er and we'll let you out of jail.
Why don't you just have it private, so it's not listed on the main lobby?

Also, are hacks enabled?

The creative server doesn't have any form of cheat protection in the first place, last I used it.
It's not a case of whether they're "enabled" so much as "allowed".

I believe certain custom servers can be set to autokick when it detects that someone's done something impossible. The basic ones kick if range detection glitches out and you hit a block that's outside the hitting range (happened to me several times when using an AHK script for rapid clicking with the WoM client speedhack to bore through a mountain rapidly (helping someone, I forget who, hollow out a peak for use as a dining hall))

They are rare buggers...
If you are running a old world, try exploring newly generated caves, diamond deposits were increased in frequency at some point between when alpha first came out and now. I can easily tell in my world 1.

If you're desperate you can download Cartographer and set it to search for only diamond. I'd give you a link and the specific block value, but the minecraft forums and wiki seem to be down at this moment.

Cliff_racer (tradanbattlan), Soulwynd, Calhoun, and Sir Pseudonymous are now Ops.
If they see someone who's good, wise, and pure of heart, they will know that they don't belong here.

But if they see someone who's awesome and cool, they have permission to op them. Anyone who asks to be an op is neither awesome nor cool.

This is for this initial testing period. We plan to get some more ram crammed in there, or at least some crazy paging files.

We plan to set up this machine as a SMP server shortly, so any suggestions for changes to the server will be looked at, not necessarily with my glasses on.

And finally, let's give Linux Master Tahin a big round of applause!

Code: [Select]
I CAN HAZ OP?
PLZ? PLZ OP? OP PLZ?

OP uses /kickban!
It's super effective!

How are you going to set it up as a SMP server shortly without SMP? :P
-checks blog-
Oh wowzers. SMP actually is close. Awesome. Notch and Toady are both Coding GODS.

I normally find them in lava pools. Not lava springs (the ones that come out of the walls) but caverns that have solid lava lakes at the bottom. Normally I can grab 6 diamonds, more coal than I'll ever need and a little bit of iron.

8 coal = 64 glass
16 coal = 64 torches

I use loads of coal.

I've been having a lot of fun with circuits lately. You can do such neat things with them. Now we need more objects to attach to them.

My latest game, I just can't escape from my mines with anything. My previous spelunk, got stacked up with iron, gold, redstone - just about to head back to the surface, then got EATEN BY A HUGE SLIME. Damn. By the time I had made it back down again, figured out how to burn the slime til it was dead, and looked about, all my stuff was gone.

Next spelunk - I dug straight down whilst mining iron (after already loading myself up with coal, iron, and a tiny bit of gold) and landed in the magma. Looking around me there was absolutely no way out. A tiny enclosed pit of magma. It was a terrifying death.

But one boat ride later, cruising the coast looking for clay, chilling out with nothing but a couple of wood shovels - and you know what - There's plenty more where that came from. I might just set up a huge railtrack to get to another remote mining destination a few clicks away from my hilltop house.

I love this game. I can't wait til I can do it with a bunch of other people (mainly so they can go in front in the caves ...).
