red stuff will be useful in multiplayer, especially with infinite map
we could build a continent spanning telegraph.
light-light-light-dark-dark-dark-light-light-light... somebody needs help!
When multiplayer comes out, I want to build a bank. It would be a place where nomadic players could keep their stuff, and I would offer more secure storage for those with houses.
The idea is that there is a keypad of some sort, inside a booth (so no one can see you entering your combination); the signal from the keypad booth is sent into your vault and, if you entered it correctly, the door(s) to your vault will open. I'd like to subcontract a logic gate expert because, ideally, there would only be one keypad booth (to save space), and you would pull a lever outside the keypad booth to select which vault you want the signal sent to.
Beyond the basic vault setup, I'm thinking there could be additional security options for those that want extra protection. If we get floodgates, a failed combination could return a signal to the keypad booth that will lock the player in and flood them with either magma or water. Some vaults could require a bank manager to input a separate combination in another booth (not recommended if you ever want to actually access your valuables, as I couldn't guarantee a manager would ever be on, or that I would hire them).
