Somewhat. The official Items.png is out-of-date. But someone on the thread has posted an semi-updated version.

None of the mobs have new skins or anything, but for the most part it works quite nicely.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

Originally screwy link aside, holy crap.  That guy must eat, sleep, and breath Minecraft to build all that, or he's using a memory editor, because fucking hell.  And, y'know, Peaceful difficulty.

well, that is exactly the point. It IS like legos... it is just that few people have as many legos as minecraft has cubes.
Isn't there a place somewhere in the world where there are monuments and all kinds of things all made with legos?

I could not get paypal working, stupid thing. I'll have to figure out some other way to buy the game. Maybe I'll just create a paypal account.

I am a little confused though. I thought you guys had a server up and running. What is the difference between that and the multiplayer mode he talks about?

Are your maps save compatable with new releases generally?

And now my game works again, and that 'dead zone' I encountered is fully traversable now.

Are your maps save compatable with new releases generally?
Yes, but don't go whining when Notch decides to break the saves. So far he hasn't but it's always a possibility.

There's a part of Legoland in California called Miniland USA. Shame that Wikipedia doesn't have any pics of it.

The multiplayer that is available now is creative mode, which means you have an unlimited amount of all blocks, which can be placed and removed instantly, no monsters, no inventory, no hitpoints, no crafting, finite maps and no day/night cycle. While this is definatly fun for some time, it gets boring.

The multiplayer Notch is working on right now is multiplayer of the gamemode only available to people who bought the game. This mode is a survival type game in which you have to make tools through crafting, gather resources with these tools and build up a base to be safe from the monsters that roam the lands (and caves) at night. This is a very brief explanation, there is a lot more you can do, and Notch is working on making a multiplayer mode of this.

Are your maps save compatable with new releases generally?

Yes. Notch did change the save file type some time ago, but he built in an automatic converter, and the save files didn't really work that well so he chose to change it back to the old system. And all of that without breaking compatibility.

Eh, that's doable. Impressive, but doable. The cave system he stumbled upon already, and everything else just takes a little focus. It's mostly cobblestone, anyway.

Even I managed to do this here:

...Where the fuck do you people find the time to do these things?  My piddly little cobblestone shacks took me hours upon hours.

Mostly because I spend my time either screwing around with surface projects, waiting for pork to cook, or exploring preexisting caverns instead of just digging like a madman.  But still.
