Odd.

You should be able to find 'em in pretty good supply in cave systems, the one I recently found my way out of had at least 100 or so springs worth of lava.

That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

If you explore around near the bottom of the map, you should find large pools and rivers of lava at a flat level.  Because lava doesn't spawn its own springs, these are still technically finite, but I've seen some pretty damn huge ones.  Just make sure you don't tunnel into them from underneath.

Or more foods.

Since there's bread and ham, Notch confirmed that he'll add ham sandwiches.  There's more foods for ya.

Oh my god Aqizzar, How high do you have to BE to get that funny.

Hmm... I found a lava spring tho (just like a waterfall... a lavafall if I may). High up the ground. I can move and place it anywhere just like water. I don't know if the 4x4 infinite tile would work with that kind of lava source..

There is no way to get an infinite lava source, used to be you could have it flow over tracks, and that would make a spring, but no more. Lavafalls can be found, though in caves you get pools of 'em.

Hmm... I'm trying to build up a water pit for monsters, but it's being a lil bit hard. I want the water to flow to the item dropoff spot I have but it will only fill up one tile, if barely. I might have to make my item dropoff spot even lower.

Ah, Never build a mob drowning/farming machine. Though if you check out the forums there are a few differnt designs readily available.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying there though, Screenshots or video to help me get a better picture of it?

Boats are cool.

This is likely a bug that will be fixed in the future, but still.

My creepy tiger avatar...

And that reminds me, I should make a water elevator for my mining shaft... It's so freaking huge I can barely see the bottom when I look down. It's like a chasm.

Ladders work much better for that. Water elevators are a pain to get up without falling out or drowning.

Not if you use them as I did in the post above.

...that looks awesome...  Makes me wonder if you can build a boat cannon with a sufficiently tall waterfall

Why should we never make mob drowning machines? Sure it is impossible to get a mob IN IT, but the novelty of having a sign that says:
"Pig Slaughtering Machine"
and another that says
"Insert Pig Here
     \/
"

Is just awesome.

So is there background music in Infdev right now? If so, is it still that soft piano-y one that used to play in creative mode? I can't seem to get the music option to turn anything on.

I wish he'd ad some "engaging" music at some point, or some creepy music. Or maybe even some region-based music (wait, I think I read that somewhere on his blog.. maybe)
