Apples appear to be implemented though... they may drop when a corpse dies, or drop passively under trees.
Apples drop when Notch dies.

Hmm.
So there is a 'secret update' every Friday? Does that include today?

All that matters is if it was worth it!

That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

Geez, normally when you waste all night gaming, you'll wake up the next morning and realize 3 days have slipped by.

Instead, you've underestimated the passage of time. What, was the game really boring or something?  :P

Nah. Haven't had time to play for multiple nights.
And the sleepiness is messing up my bra--nevermind. I shall not say that word.

Apparently it's been confirmed that Land Claim Flags will make the area COMPLETELY INDESTRUCTIBLE.

While crap. There goes any awesome PvP.

If I want to sneak underground into your castle and steal stuff in the interest of my survival, then let me be.
Not like I'm just randomly killing players.

Hope they let servers choose no flags, which I'd perfer over this.

Make it make walls stronger or something, but completely unbreakable is..horrible.

Where was this confirmed? I have a hard time believing that. As far as I know, Notch hasn't talked about it except for the possibility, and even then there were no specifics give.

Alright, I apologize in advance for being crude on this stance but FUCK THAT. Unless Notch adds some form of land protection the PvP experience would be terrible. Absolutely godawful. None of this war crap will happen, nobody will make a city and just guard it. Houses won't be made because they are too weak to survive on their own, simply becoming markers of loot to steal.

Granted complete invincibility I understand may rub some people the wrong way, but I'm alright with it. I already know all those dreams of PvP combat taking place in awesome scales won't happen due to the nature of the game.

And yeah, the forums are a bit thick.

A couple people on the forums said he said this on the Brocraft stream.

I'm not saying that there would be awesome epic PvP. I already know that probably won't happen. But still, SOME PvP would be nice, even if it takes hours to slice down a single wall.

Now my last resort is to set the entire place on fire.

You'll have to excuse me if I don't find that too credible. I'll wait for the offical update/verdict. I know he was there, but unless i see a complete transcript, I'm skeptical, beyond that, It's not like he won't tweak it.

Personally I don't understand why everyone things SMP is going to be a clusterfuck of griefers. SMP isn't out yet, so what I predict will happen maybe be inaccurate, but so too, are those predictions. Personally I think on any server with competent administrations, when there are greifers (which will be few and far between.) they will get banned not shortly after they start greifing.

I definitely don't see a need for land-claim flags on say, a server like the  Bay12 server we'd (Hopefully) have. Since It'd just be a bunch of us guys from here.  Larger servers who serve a more generalized population SHOULD have suitable administration to deal with it.

Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe every third person who, might I remind everyone has actually PAID for the game (unlike creative multiplayer), will be someone with a desire to destroy indiscriminately for no personal gain whatsoever. Other than the satisfaction of pissing someone off.

I'd like to think a bit more positively than that!

EDIT: Plus to effectively destroy in SMP, the greifer would have to make a measurable amount of involvement in the game, to get the proper tools and what-not. It's not like some wouldn't, but your casual greifer isn't the kind of person to do that.
