He's complaining about gratuitously computer-borking issues with Java.  That would be legitimate paranoia, if I had ever heard of anyone else having such problems, with a program everyone in the world has installed.  I don't doubt those issues were real, I just seriously doubt that they stemmed from the actual java installation.

But java ISN'T annoying. All the problems you listed I have nover noticed. Whatever old version you had, they have changed it. Java does NOTHING unless it's being used.
Alright. I'm gonna update java on my laptop and see how's it working there, since I need java there anyway.

Then... minecraftin! :O

I think he is somewhat rightfully paranoid on what happens behind the scenes.
I am. About pretty much everything in any computer of mine. The only other thing that got me this paranoid was a certain .net module that would run an optimization code whenever the computer went into IDLE mode.

He's complaining about gratuitously computer-borking issues with Java.
At the very least you will have jusched.exe running about right now. Even if you turned off the update check. jqs.exe is likely to be running as well. They used to be very exploitable (And I don't doubt they still are) and perhaps my past experiences with java and yes, legit java installation, got me even more paranoid about it.

I must say the newer version I have running on my laptop has been smooth, but meh, never forgive, never forget.  I will update it tonight and see how it goes, what sort of stuff I will have to remove right after installing. Again. -_-

Javascript isn't java... Javascript was developed by netscape and later changed name to javascript for commercial reasons. You don't need java for javascript, it's part of the browser itself and has little to do with java.

What does java mean.
1. A programming language that's a pain to use.(I don't like it much at least)
2. coffee
3. the interpreter that runs minecraft.

Why is javascript not related to java at all.

That is a very good question!

Wait, you were expecting an answer? Coincidence as far as I can tell.

Straight from Wikipedia. (Did you honestly not look there?)
Quote
JavaScript was originally developed by Brendan Eich of Netscape under the name Mocha, which was later renamed to LiveScript, and finally to JavaScript. [9] [10] LiveScript was the official name for the language when it first shipped in beta releases of Netscape Navigator 2.0 in September 1995, but it was renamed JavaScript in a joint announcement with Sun Microsystems on December 4, 1995 [11] when it was deployed in the Netscape browser version 2.0B3. [12]

The change of name from LiveScript to JavaScript roughly coincided with Netscape adding support for Java technology in its Netscape Navigator web browser. The final choice of name caused confusion, giving the impression that the language was a spin-off of the Java programming language, and the choice has been characterized by many as a marketing ploy by Netscape to give JavaScript the cachet of what was then the hot new web-programming language. [13] [14] It has also been claimed that the language's name is the result of a co-marketing deal between Netscape and Sun, in exchange for Netscape bundling Sun's Java runtime with their then-dominant browser.[citation needed]

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

I hope the army of minecraft trolls will not tear him to pieces for not making SMP this week. Other then that i eagerly await suprise friday. Toady should do those too. I don't care how much bugs it will bring, but those surprises are nice.
