It's actually easier in indev than in infdev. There is a handy load level from computer options in that, and you can specify wherever there. In infdev and /game/ you need to go to the appdata location and replace a world, but this was not made in them so I can't provide much help there.

No linking from waffleimages, but I do see what you are linking anyway. That actually seems like a system that would not be much a problem for Notch.

You don't have to put them anywhere with indev.
Just load file.

Well, because there's no "load file" button in the Minecraft app, I'm pretty sure I do.

C'mon guys, I have more faith in you people than this.  Somebody just tell me in plain language how to load a downloaded map file.

Stupid question, but where do you actually put map files?
%APPDATA%/.minecraft/saves
Fascinating, but because that isn't a folder in my C:/ drive itself, that doesn't help me much.  Maybe a full address?
Run %APPDATA%/.minecraft/saves
Using Run.lnk

%APPDATA% is a Windows variable.
Provided you are in Windows, that will always take you to the proper location, regardless of the lack of C:\.
%APPDATA%/.minecraft/saves

Use this, other versions don't have it.
 Select load level
 Load file

And then navigate to the file.

Okay, I didn't know how to do that.  Thanks for directing me to the saved world folder, but now what do I do with this .mclevel file?  The program doesn't load it itself, and it's not a compressed file, so I've hit the limit of my understanding of this stuff.  Er, then again...

Load Level > Load File
You ARE in indev like he said to be, right?

Well, no, I'm using Minecraft Alpha.  I thought those were the same thing now, but obviously I'm wrong.

Ninja'd again: Okay, thank you.  Simple stuff.

That's what I mean, I thought Indev was scrapped completely with the Alpha release.  I don't stay up on this stuff, I just play with the client.

Anyway, yeah map.  It looks cool, but is it supposed to be pitch black everywhere and slow as Hell?

Yeah, there were some problems with making it a space map where the fog and sky are black and the lava is so far down you could not see it, thus meaning you'll see stars beneath you. I suppose I had better fix the lighting issues before putting this back up. I sort of hoped there would be a suggestion as to why everything is so screwy.

Once those issues are fixed torches just need to be added to most of the rooms and somebody with better knowledge of the editor could move some of the ships closer so one could get on them.

I feel dirty for posting even once in there. Something needs to be said about the overreaction, but I cannot think of anything sensible to post. So I posted bullshit.
