Yes, those are memory locations. Useless for us normal people.

None of us are normal! ("The only normal person here is Jack-jack, and he's not even toilet trained!")

Sorry, I had to.

Yea, I shared one a while back...like a WHILLLE back.  But I don't quite recall the exact file location I'm afraid.  Someplace in the windows vista users directories I think.   I do believe there is information on where to find maps on either minepedia or the minecraft forums.  I had to learn how to do it somewhere before I forgot.

It seems I had posted the location earlier in this very thread.

C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves

Your maps are there.

I'm having a lot of fun in infdev :D

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I had to stop playing to study Java (irony), but my next steps will be building a small castle and getting more torches around my territory.
I'm king of the hill in this one  8)

EDIT: Hell, looking at this map made me think in like 10 different projects.
Gotta love this.

Alright so when I said "flying pigs" I was being facetious, but I've literally discovered flying pigs.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This big enclosed canyon is where I chose to settle. In the morning/mid-day of the time cycle, I'll randomly hear this "OINK".. I look behind me and what do I see? I see pork slabs. Everywhere. Just a minute ago I saw a pig falling from the sky before my very eyes, smashing into the ground.

So these pigs are spawning up on the cliffs and falling down, turning into cuts of pork. Best. Spot. Ever.

hahahah it gotta be fun to watch pigs falling down.
Yesterday I was building ma fountaiN when a random Creeper blew up beside me, I fell down my mountain.
Too bad I couldn't record it...I was so focused and it was so random that scared the hell out of me.

Can lava be replicated to infinity like water. With water if a single tile is surrounded by three water source tiles it will always replenish, i have tried this with magma and it doesn't seem to work. Also i have just started a big glass underwater tunnel to a nearby island, it will be illuminated with magma and it will look awesome :D

What if you were to dig pits throughout the land, then create a giant underground river at the bottom, funneling everything that spawns to a single central point? At night the AI would create a rain of arrows, feathers, and webs, and a constant supply of pork!

I tried it when I did the moat.  Doesn't seem to work it seems.  It works for a short time, but the place it was taken from and all tiles that were children of that tile eventually dries up a few minutes after you take the tile away.

Water tiles reproduce when a space is surrounded by two water spring tiles and not water flow tiles. Lava does not reproduce this way so any method like that is impossible. However, one can use a possible glitch where if a lava tile touches a track tile it'll turn into a lava spring tile.

I did something similar on one map, there was a lake below this cliff i carved out as a fortress and i chanelled a big hole in one side, so any monster seeing me atop the balcony of my awesometress would rush to me, fall in the water and get washed into a hole waiting for morning :D
