WiThaith enough glass, making it all out of glass would be an alternative.

Yup but I was going for a certain look to it.  I did not achieve that.

I think if I took away the second stone and glass layer I'd be closer to it but I also think it'd spill out the bottom.   Could run the excess underground though I reckon.  Hrm...

I think there is a bug with lava not being bright enough on the sides. And adding an Infiniminer bloom effect would be rocking.

A fairly uninspired skin on my part and mostly unfinished, though, he does have a big bushy beard. Having once been fairly decent at pixel art I have no excuse.

edit to add: I did borrow the torn up clothes from the minecraft forums.

I for one hope that the "something big" he is working on is MP

Well yeah, given that he's now working on optimizing it'd make sense that he starts work on MP after it's faster etc.

That's pretty good. I think so anyway.

You want uninspired and mostly unfinished? I'll give you uninspired and mostly unfinished.

Not sure how they could possibly make infdev multiplayer.  How would it all sink up as it's being procedurally generated?  And even if he did some how make it so, you'd still have assholes just wandering ever outward so as to make the map file huge and create lag for everyone.

I just bought the game! I had been playing on my friends account. The "something big" notch is going to do soon must be multiplayer, so I wanted the game, and bought it!

Now I just need a good skin for my character...

No SMP for while yet, I'm afraid. He's ironing out the current in(f)dev  and adding more features for now, mostly because it will be easier for him to release all major updates before servers. Saving servers from having to regularly update and lost their current maps (more often than not, they will have to)

Next week is a large performance update, which will help many people greatly as the game can be very CPU intensive.

After the performance updates, RIDEABLE MINECARTS!!!!!!
Can't wait!

So basically, SMP is not likely to be released within the near future :(

Yes because you wrote it it must be right.
As I mentioned, I think now would be a good time to start working on SMP since he mentioned "something big" and he's optimizing what we already have. That all points to moar.

You are now required to build an Abercrombe and Fitch to sit outside of waiting for a girlfriend.

To whoever was asking about how to chart their mines, (I forget, sorry) you can craft signs since a few updates ago, they would be helpful I'm sure.

Since we're on about skins, I use this, nothing too special.
