What we need is a Bin block that sucks in any inventory objects that land near it. Then automated goods transport could be done.

I was trying to think of ways to do automated logging. Find a dense patch of trees, cut a series of channels, and drop water-springs high up, so they flow to one main stream, which flows down to my shelter. Then, set the forest on fire in a few key locations, retire to the settlement, and gather all the resources dropped by mobs, or shed by burned down trees, etc.

We should stop giving Toady feedback in this case. Right?

Since when does Toady have anything to do with Minecraft?

Also, both my favorite servers have disappeared/had owners changed..it's sad :(

Here's a look at what you're missing if you don't have access to infdev:

That big hole in the hill over there?
Natural cave system.
Similar thing happened with a gigantic dropshaft in the "mountain" behind me.

Does this play out like a huge version of Stranded II?

Notch, the game's maker, doesn't want to add hunger or thirst so it's only half way a survival sim.

I was playing around in one of the new infdev caverns and I came across some sand that was piled from the surface, however there were two spaces BENEATH the sand where the cave was generated. So I stood under it and dug it out, and I guess the rest of the sand piled on me..

This. Is. Awesome.

I stop playing Minecraft for three fucking days and suddenly everything is cooler than ever.  What the fuck?  Oh well, kick ass water and caves and shit, which is exactly what Infdev needed.  Goodbye responsibilities, hello damp dank caves!

I tried doing the original plan for water, but it ended up being far too unpredictable, causing weird vortexes (vortices?) of spinning water that would act as infinite water sources, effectively flooding the world.

Heh.

That's Notch for you.
Especially since he just stopped everything else to work on Minecraft full-time and all.

How did you get it so big and get rid of the HUD?
I suppose that could just be full-screen with F11 or alt+enter or some other standardized key-combo, but I have no idea.

Those are indeed mountains taller than the clouds.  With overhangs and giant caves and stuff.  I climbed the one of the right, and found out the world has a ceiling.

Speaking of cool finds I thought this was pretty neat. Just something you have to stop and admire for a while before continuing your suicide ore mission.

Ugh... I had an awesome base well under way when I got killed by a skeleton. Not because I couldn't get away, but because I couldn't get through my door due to lag. And the base was so far away from the spawn I'll never find it again...

That is either very bad or very good. Depends on whether or not you can re-route it onto your foes.
