Yeah, I set it up and people showed up and started working on projects and I went to sleep. Never got a chance to OP people or finish putting in scripts.

I will be OPing some of the people here or make it private B12 only.

Do you guys prefer private or not?

I think it should be public. The only problem is that people can join from the minecraft sever list. Maybe make it private and just post the password for all of Bay12? We promise to shun anyone who goes a-griefing if they came from here.

Not quite how it works. You can't password-protect a server. The only thing you can do is make a server private, so you have to have the url to reach it.

And yeah, I'm all for a private server.

And being an op, if you're still gonna assign people. <_<

I tried screwing around with permissions in various programs, and right now the basic seems the way to go, and I'll have to assign OPs.

I will be taking server off the public list soon, and assigning (hopefully) a few trustworthy people to OP. Right now I have work to do though.

Feel free to post here if there are issues.

Great.

I'll be saving levels so we can jump back and forth. First thing I need to do is fix the server administration. What I have now is a temp fix (OPing a few Bay12ers)- but I trust you guys to moderate themselves.

So, basically the same setup the old b12 servers had?

I haven't been playing minecraft because I didn't know of any private servers, and I don't like publics. Not so much the griefing as antihax and spawn prisons. Those just piss me off.

It's still public for now, but I'm not running anything besides OPs from Bay12.



There's quite a few forts in there and a giant smiley dwarf but you can't see it. URIST is written in the background.

I also built a giant white E (the red staircase is for helping me construct it) to fit in with Urist and the smiley-face.

Let's see:
We have a Black Mage, Kirby, a smiley face, URIST, a giant E, a rocket, tons of towers, skybridges between the towers, a palace in a cave, an overground fortress, Iron815 is currently working at a dwarven monument and Valholl and As_Always (I think) are currently constructing an underground fortress.
It's extremely epic. ;D
