Could your firewall or something be blocking it?

I turned off microsoft's firewall for win7.

yes, its the same one i use for the website which works, i even deleted the .minecraft folder and the launcher then downloaded the same launcher and it still doesn't work.

Looks to me as though that server is running in no-auth mode.
Pinguoin is not a paid account.
Nor are the other two.
You COULD ban them, but it'd do nothing, because that's not their name.

IT was not runnign on Offline mode. Minecraft.net isn't down, just flooded.

Argh i cant play minecraft anymore. I get delays of up to 10 minutes when the server is being nice. Pressing F3 on Jaycraft gave me a solid wall of red whenever i approached the edge of a loading chunk(whee into the void) and i always spawn falling into the void for about 5 minutes.

I have no idea what to do, ive set up exceptions in my firewall/antivirus for minecraft, messed with the graphics settings, etc etc. Can anyone help?

I had lag before the newest update, but i could still play online fine. Now i cant do anything :/

I amazed myself, I spent 10 hours (on normal mode) in a row walking to an empty spot far away from my spawn, finding a tree high up on a mountain, scrapping the ENTIRE MOUNTAIN except for the dirt the tree is growing on (the reason this took 10 hours), turned it into a massive tower, hollowed it out and made an inner staircase and sealed it off, and am now building a palace around it with multiple rooms, stories, and an inner balcony, which will then spread into an entire town that will be capable of housing dozens of people.

In single player mode.


So I will have something interesting to travel to via mine cart.

I love those dam mine carts.
