BTW are ALL of those cannons loaded with 64x(3x3) eggs?!!?!

(576 eggs PER cannon, BTW. ...Yeah, that's aLOT of chickens.)

I love the new blocks and all, but I'd rather forgo new toys in favor of NOT breaking my favorite servers and my SSP game every time Minecraft gets updated.

 He knows the amount of people who mod the game and knows that it's a very legally gray area. He's too cool to try and add protection against modders, so the only option left is to integrate official modding API options. Of course this could take a while, as it's no simple thing. But he'll get around to it.

So eggs  turn into chickens... this is interesting, since it allows us to spawn (admittedly very stupid) mobs on command.

Also, I am going to need to upgrade my server, since cart tracks need this update.

I have to give Notch credit for putting out a bugfix release within one day to correct the ridiculous lag problems that seem to temporarily crop up with each release now.  Seriously, what's up with that.

Squids are really weird looking.  There is no way this isn't going to turn into something spooky eventually.  Maybe a semi-hostile octopus mob.

Eggs giving rise to chickens is not rocket science.  What is truly extraordinary, is that each has a kind of Schrodinger's Flock of fully grown chickens inside it, that can only be released by violently breaking the egg.  Regarding the spawning though, it sounds like you would statistically not produce as many chickens as it took broken eggs (i.e. less than 1:1 return) unless you're pretty lucky.

Is there any way to reliably make dispensers throw out stuff repeatedly at a high rate? I tried a redstone pulser but that makes it fire very unreliably. Are there any slower pulser designs available?

Also: 72 of them wired together make mincemeat out of anything standing downrange. here's 360 of them, out of the 41472 it can theoretically hold if I filled it up completely. And I think I can mount another battery on top and link it up with this one.

Edit: a 5 speed clock gives it a steady 60rpm for almost 10 minutes of sustained barrage and becomes toggleable via an AND switch.

I'm not one with the Aspergite enough to know how to build complex Redstone circuits, but this guy built an arrow launcher on full automatic.

Just completed my sandstone tower, with green carpets, cactus palisade, inner and outer walls, and fire moat. The basement is finished with some paintings by Monet, stone inlays, and a Nether Gate. Once I find redstone, there will be a Kill Chamber with arrow dispensers, for any unwanted Ghasts who spawn in the airlock.

hmm, the need to have a secondary powersource for rapid fire greatly complicates my design to make a wall full of them, Indiana Jones style.
